Nano-Burn LE™ is a lattice engineered nanoparticle combustion catalyst which has been statistically and scientifically proven around the world to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. Cerion’s ability to produce small (1 to 20 nm), monodisperse, functionalized nanoparticles which are highly reactive forms the basis for this technology. Additionally these particles are produced in high yield and at very low cost.
Lattice engineering, which is unique to Cerion, means that the cerium ion sublattice can be replaced by useful transition elements from the periodic table. These metals enhance the crystal’s oxygen storage capacity, its ability to give off or absorb O2 as needed, and dramatically increase its reactivity. The fuel- borne nanoparticle combustion catalyst is designed to function in the same manner as the precious metals in your catalytic converter. By enhancing combustion in the combustion chamber our nanoparticle combustion catalyst harvests the energy content which is normally lost as wasted heat in the exhaust gas converter and sends it to the wheels as useful power. This helps lower fuel consumption while also reducing harmful diesel particulate emissions (soot). Nano-Burn LE ™ is normally diluted one part per four thousand (1 - 4,000) of diesel fuel.
Here are some of the results:* ·
Efficiency Gains:
◦ On-Road: 4 - 10% increase in MPG depending on type & age of vehicle, load, terrain, driver experience, etc.
◦ Marine: 7% decrease in fuel consumption
◦ Rail: TBD ·
Emission Reductions:
◦ Particulate Matter (Soot): 20 - 25%
◦ Greenhouse Gases (CO 2, CO, HC, etc): 10 - 15%
◦ NOx: 8 - 10%
*Testing conducted on light tower diesel generators as well as heavy duty trucks in western New York, on tug boats in Louisiana, and in light duty, medium duty and heavy duty trucks in Italy
